My first activity idea has finally been carried out. We made paper plate animals with the kids. By cutting off the rims of the plates and gluing them on in fun ways, cute animals can be made. Some of the fun outcomes were grasshoppers, ladybugs, giraffes, and penguins.

I wanted the kids to showcase their creativity. They had fun telling us about their favorite animals.
Unfortunately, the group of kids had some behavior problems this time. At one point, a child was yelling that he was going to kill one of the other volunteers and charging people for a headbutt. However, two of the children really enjoyed the activity the whole time.
In the week break between these posts, the volunteers met and drew up a schedule. My activities are not on it because they held the meeting while I was out of town. (The meeting was unplanned.) I will have to meet with the EDGE people to see about my project. It's not working out like I thought.
